On Thursday 1 June, EU transport ministers discussed the introduction of the ‘Euro 7’ environmental standard for motor vehicle emissions.
This point was debated at the request of the eight Member States, signatories to an unofficial declaration sent out at the end of May (see EUROPE B13186A7) questioning the usefulness of stricter rules on emissions of atmospheric pollutants for combustion engine vehicles.
