European Parliament reiterates its call for collective bargaining to be extended to at least 80% of workers by 2030

MEPs adopted by 483 votes to 38 with 100 abstentions, on Thursday 1 June, a resolution calling on the Commission and the Member States to commit to increasing collective bargaining coverage to at least 80% by 2030.

This would mean that 80% of workers are covered by trade unions or other bodies to negotiate the terms and conditions of their employment, explains the Parliament in a press release.
