19/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and the Swedish Federation of County Councils, in collaboration with the EP and the Council of European Municipalities and Regions, are organising on 24 April in Brussels a colloquium on governance: "Brining Europe Closer to the Citizens: how can local, regional and national democratic levels, with the respect of diversity, be involved and consulted on matter within the EU that affects them today? Taking part will be Sylvie Kaufmann, EP rapporteur on governance, Jerome Vignon, head of the Commission's "Governance" Task Force, and Gunnar Luind, Swedish Permanent Representative to the EU.
