27/09/2011 (Agence Europe) - From business school to board room. Business schools can make a positive contribution to increasing the numbers of women on the boards of companies, and taking the proportion to 40% by 2020. That was the message delivered by Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding speaking at a meeting of deans of business schools and female company managers, organised by the École des hautes études commerciales, the Global Telecom Women's Network and business adviser McKinsey & Company. “Business schools are shaping the minds of the future leading generation. It is here that young women and men get the training for their future business career - they acquire the tools but also the inspiration for their future jobs. We have to make sure that female talent takes this route!” she said. (MD/transl.rt)
