14/09/2011 (Agence Europe) - Loan for funding local infrastructure in Thuringia. The Thüringer Aufbaubank (TAB) will obtain a loan of €100 million from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to help fund development of local infrastructure in Thuringia. The funding contract was signed on 8 September in Erfurt. This loan will help to finance the renovation and construction of schools and provide investment for childcare, sport centres, museums and local halls. Projects for the transport sector, water supplies and purification may also be funded. The approved projects will cost between €40,000 and €25 million. In 2008 and 2009, the EIB granted overall loans to the TAB worth €125 million. (O.L./transl.fl)
