28/01/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 28 January, the European Commission authorised a proposed concentration whereby Alstom Power Holding SA (France) and Bharat Forge Limited (India) acquire joint control of JVA and JVB by way of purchase of shares in a newly created company constituting a joint venture. Alstom operates international activities in the manufacture of equipment and the provision of services, power generation and rail transport. Bharat provides global supply of forged and machined engine and chassis components. JVA and JVB supply steam turbine generator groups on the Indian market. (O.L/transl.jl)
