Laeken, 16/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Council of Laeken on 14 and 15 December was successful in achieving its main ambition: that of adopting a Declaration on the Future of Europe which opens the way to major Union reform for the future. Results of the Summit were also positive concerning the role of Europe on the international scene, but was not able to come to a final solution to the question of where some dozen agencies would be located.
