24/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 21 July 2009, Spain and Senegal signed a deal in Dakar, the Senegalese capital, extending by a year the cooperation deal to combat clandestine immigration to Europe. Senegal and Spain have been working together with Frontex, the EU's external border agency, since 2006 monitoring the flow of illegal immigrants to the EU.
