23/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - Ron Kirk will be taking over from Susan Schwab as Trade Secretary in the Administration of the new US President Barack Obama that comes to power on 20 January 2009. Focusing on negotiating binding tree trade deals on social and ecological issues, the Obama Administration is expected to take a tougher line than George Bush's team. (E.H. trans fl)
