17/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - At the opening of the plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Monday 17 November, the MEPs approved a request by the PES Group to include on the agenda of Wednesday 19 November a debate on the impact of the current economic situation on the European automotive industry. The Council and the Commission will therefore make a declaration on the subject on Wednesday morning, instead of the oral question on the minimum criteria applicable for environmental inspections in the member states.
