09/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 8 October, the Slovak Republic signed a cooperation agreement with the US on fighting terrorism and serious crime. This is expected to enable Slovakia to join the US visa waiver programme (VWP) by the end of the year. Citizens from the seven member states: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Malta, should be able to go to the US without visas by the end of this year.
