24/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission plans to begin negotiations with India with a view to concluding an agreement on certain aspects of air services. The College adopted, on Friday 20 June, a proposal for a decision aimed at signing such an agreement, which should then be put to the Council's approval. This kind of “horizontal” agreement would make it possible to align existing bilateral agreements between EU member states and India on Community law. (A.By./transl.jl)
