10/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - The 15th European Employment Week will be held in Brussels on 11-12 June. Over 1000 people - employment professionals, representatives of the European institutions, NGOs, the unions and employers - are expected to take part in the conference. Debate will focus on mobility and migration, active ageing, youth and employment, flexicurity, active inclusion and diversity. Speakers will include Kikolaus van der Pas, Director General, DG Employment of the European Commission, Maive Rute, Director General, DG Enterprise of the European Commission, Jan Olsson, European Economic and Social Committee, and Dagmar Ziegler, Minister for Labour, Social Affairs, Health and Family, Brandenburg, Germany. Former French Education Minister Luc Ferry and European Employment Commissioner Vladimir Špidla will bring the conference to a close. (G.B./transl. rt)
