28/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 27 February, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to the concentration by which the companies Investitori SGR S.p.A. (“Investitori”, Italy) and Cognetas Fund II Limited (“Cognetas”, Channel Islands) acquire joint control of Gruppo Argenta A.p.A. (“Argenta”, Italy). The business activities of the companies are: - for Investitori: investment fund controlling a number of portfolio companies; - Cognetas: private equity investment firm; - Argenta: vending machines in Italy, in particular the supply, installation and management of vending machines for hot and cold drinks, snacks, food and personal care products. The transaction was dealt with under the simplified procedure. (O.L.)
