16/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 15 January, the Belgian MEP Gérard Deprez (ALDE) was selected by the Liberal group of the European Parliament (ALDE e) to chair the committee on civil liberties, justice and home affairs (LIBE) of the European Parliament, replacing the outgoing president Jean-Marie Cavada (ALDE, France), who has stood down.
