26/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 24 July, the European Commission authorised the acquisition of sole control of Solétanche SA, a French company mainly operating in the construction sector, by the French Vinci group. After examination, the Commission concluded that the proposed operation would neither significantly impede effective competition nor discourage the conclusion of temporary partnerships with competitors to bid for contracts, a practice which is extremely common in this sector.
