20/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - In its adoption, on 19 June, of the report by Luis Manuel Capoulas Santos (PES, Portugal), the European Parliament has approved, with a few amendments, the new fishing agreement between the EU and São Tomé and Príncipe. The agreement, with the duration of four years, provides fishing possibilities for tuna in favour of 43 Community vessels: 25 freezer tuna seiners (13 Spanish and 12 French) and 18 surface long liners (13 Spanish and 5 Portuguese).
