01/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Parliament adopted a resolution whereby it restates its longstanding opposition to the death penalty “in all cases and in all circumstances”, and calls for the immediate establishment of a universal moratorium on capital execution, in accordance with a United Nations General Assembly resolution. (hb).
