01/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - During the inauguration on Wednesday 31 January of a photo exhibition on the power of the image in the fight against smoking, at Solvay library in Brussels, European Commissioner for Health, Markos Kyprianou, called on member states to use photos on cigarette packets. Belgium, Latvia, Portugal, Romania and the United Kingdom declared that they would back this idea.
