04/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 30 November, the Council adopted without discussion a joint action extending the EU monitoring mission (EUMM) in the Western Balkans until 31 December 2007. The mandate is also amended in order to continue activities in support of EU policy in the Western Balkans, with particular focus on political and security developments in Kosovo and Serbia, and neighbouring regions that might be affected by any adverse developments in Kosovo.
