09/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is expected to take a decision on 10 June regarding the anchovy crisis in the Bay of Biscay. It is currently consulting the Member States concerned (France and Spain) before adopting possible emergency measures. Published early this week, a report by the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) recommends immediate closure of fishing activity.
