21/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - In a press statement, Antonio Vitorino said that he agreed with President Barroso on the personal conviction not interfering with the political definition of the Commission in regard to human rights. He explained that he did not share the views of Rocco Buttiglione in anti-discrimination. Vitorino trusted the Barroso structures put in place and considered that it was in no-one's interest to provoke an institutional crisis.
