23/08/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted emergency humanitarian aid of EU 1.9 million to the 30,000 victims of the recent cold weather in Peru. This fundig is via the European Commission humanitarian office (ECHO) and will focus on two sectors: food safety and training local people and the authroities to cope with natural disasters.
