- Canada: The value of the mergers and acquisitions operations in Canada fell 36% to $32 billion during the third term compared to the previous year, it was announced by the Toronto business bank CROSBIE & CO, which puts this result down to the terrorist attacks of 11 September. 249 transactions were concluded, 24% down on the third term 2000.
