19/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - In an article on conflict-prevention in Africa (see EUROPE of 19 September, p.15), it was a question of the "probable future closure, next year, of the Conflict Prevention Network (CPN), project managed by the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (Berlin), on behalf of the European Commission". The Conflict-Prevention, Crisis-Management and ACP Political Issues unit, at the European Commission's DG for External Relations is in no way threatened with closure.
