ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) electricity

Italy's electricity giant ENEL has announced its intention of floating at least 25% of its telecommunications subsidiary WIND, co-held by FRANCE TELECOM for a value of some 7 bn euro. To succeed with this flotation, ENEL is planning a capital increase in the order of 3 bn euro plus an offer of 4 bn euro in existing shares.
