ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) automobile equipment

The German equipment producer CONTINENTAL is looking for a buyer for its rubber and plastic materials subsidiary CONTITECH (provisional turnover of EUR 1.4 billion in 2000 with 15,000 employees). It indicated that it will use the proceeds of the sale to strengthen itself in its "core work" through the bias of "acquisition in the growing sectors of the automobile industry".
