The Dutch group ASML - ASM LITHOGRAPHY, specialised in lithography systems for the microprocessor industry, will acquire the American SVG SILICON VALLEY GROUP for an amount estimated at EUR 1.8 billion. The operation will create the "world's largest supplier of lithographic equipment for semiconductors" with an estimated turnover of EUR 2.5 billion.
