Commission authorises acquisition of Stadtwerke Kiel by TXU Germany

Brussels, 03/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Commission can see no objection to the acquisition of 51% of the share capital of Stadtwerke Kiel by TXU Germany. Stadtwerke Kiel produces and distributes electricity up to 110kV in the town of Kiel and its surrounding district while TXU Germany only supplies a small part of the high tension network of over 220 kV which, moreover, does not have clients on Stadtwerke Kiel territory.
