ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

The French bank BNP PARIBAS and German DRESDNER BANK are to put an end to their cooperation in the countries of Eastern Europe, cooperation which was implemented by the creation of joint ventures. The latter, located in Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Croatia, were headed by a joint holding based in Vienna. During the first six months of the year, they had a net banking result of EUR 50 million with 950 employed.
