ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) optics

The French company PHOTONETICS has been bought up by the Danish company GN GREAT NORDIC (turnover DKr 3.2 billion during the first half of 2000) for the sum of $1.05 billion. Specialised in technologies that allow quality testing of optical fibre networks and optic components, PHOTONETICS is expected to make a turnover of $60 million in 2000 and employ about 250.
