ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) ophthalmology

ALCON, a subsidiary of the Swiss food processing giant NESTLE specialised in ophthalmologic products, is to acquire the American company SUMMIT, which develops, produces and distributes ophthalmologic laser systems for simple eye-sight corrections at the price of $900 million. ALCON will make a bid on all SUMMIT activities, at the price of $19 per share.
