The German production and media group EM.TV (turnover of between DEM 500 and 600 million for 1999) has bought the American firm JIM HENSON AND CO (estimated sales of USD 162 million for 1999), a producer of children's TV series and owner of the "Muppets Show", for USD 680 million. The transaction will involve a cash payment and new shares.
