30/05/2016 (Agence Europe) - Commodity dealers exempted from certain prudential requirements until 2020. On 30 May, the Council of the EU formally ratified the extension from the end of 2017 to the end of 2020 of the exemption from prudential rules on large exposure requirements and own fund requirements currently enjoyed by commodity dealers. This extension will enable the Commission, in the meantime, to put forward a specific prudential system for investment companies. (MB)
