16/04/2015 (Agence Europe) - Peter Burian appointed EU Special Representative for Central Asia. On Wednesday 15 April, the Council appointed Peter Burian as EU Special Representative for Central Asia, following the political agreement on 16 March (see EUROPE 11277). Burian is a former secretary of state at the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and will take up his new duties immediately.
