28/11/2014 (Agence Europe) - Dublin gets ready to pay €9 billion back to IMF. On Friday 28 November, the Irish government announced that it was to pay back, ahead of schedule and before the end of this year, €9 billion in loans granted by the IMF. This move will save Dublin €750 million in interest and improve the sustainability of the debt, Finance Minister Michael Noonan states in a press release. A further tranche of €9 billion may be paid back to the IMF next year. (MB)
