The head of Eurogroup, Jean-Claude Juncker, says a genuine European Finance Minister is needed with the power to veto national budgets. He was speaking in an interview with French newspaper Le Figaro on Monday 30 July 2012, in which he recognised the serious problem of national sovereignty and democratic responsibility that this new job would entail.
