European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek announced at the opening of the plenary session in Strasbourg on Monday 26 September, that Daniël van der Stoep (non-attached, Netherlands) had stepped down and would be replaced by Auke Zijlstra. Mikael Gustafsson will replace Eva-Britt Svensson (GUE/NGL, Sweden) who has resigned. (LC/transl.rt)
