22/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 21 September, the European Parliament approved the position of the Council of Ministers of the EU on the draft rectifying budget no. 5 to the general budget of the EU for 2010 (EUROPE 10213). It covers: - modifications to the establishment plan of the European Anti-Fraud Office (without additional financial provisions); - the revision of the forecast for the Traditional Own Resources (customs duty and sugar sector levies) and the VAT and GNI (gross national income) bases; - the budgeting of the British corrections and their financing; - the revision of the funding of the GNI reductions for the Netherlands and Sweden in 2010. The effect of all of these is to modify the division among the member states of their contributions to the own resources of the Union. (L.C./transl.fl)
