19/07/2010 (Agence Europe) - According to an estimate published on Monday 19 July by Eurostat, production in the construction sector fell by 1.0% in the euro zone and by 0.6% in the EU in May 2010, compared to the previous month. In April, production fell by 0.3% in the eurozone, but rose by 0.5% in the EU. Taken annually (May 2010/May 2009), production in construction saw a drop of 6.3% in the eurozone and of 2.4% in the EU.
