10/12/2009 (Agence Europe) - The jury responsible for evaluating candidate towns applying to be the “European Culture Capital 2015” met on Wednesday 9 December. It recommends that the towns of Plzeò and Ostrava be placed on a shortlist. Once this recommendation is endorsed by the Czech Republic, the towns chosen by the panel will have to complete the application process by summer 2010. The Council of Ministers will then officially designate the two towns selected. (I.L./transl.jl)
