The French company RHODIA has sold its European operations in surface-active agents to the American firm HUNTSMANN. For the transaction, HUNTSMANN formed an alliance with the investment fund BAIN CAPITAL. This sector has annual turnover of EUR 400 million at 7 plants with a total workforce of one thousand. The American group already has turnover of USD 1.3 billion in this sector.
