On Wednesday 22 November, the European Commission authorised an Italian scheme worth €5.7 billion to support the construction of electricity generation facilities using renewable energy sources and the expansion of existing facilities.
Part of this scheme will be financed, through the Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan, by the ‘Recovery and Resilience Facility’ (RRF), the main financial instrument of the post-Covid-19 Next Generation EU recovery plan.
