The Kimberley Process, an international negotiating forum bringing together governments, the diamond industry and civil society, held its plenary session from 6 to 10 November in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. In 2003, this multilateral forum created the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) to prevent ‘conflict diamonds’ from entering the international market.
