The Presidents of the European Council, Charles Michel, and of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, are meeting for dinner on Thursday 23 November and then for a working session on Friday 24 November, on the occasion of the 19th EU/Canada Summit in St John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, to “take stock of the long-term partnership, which is already flourishing”, according to a senior European official.
