Alexander de Croo calls for a ban on Russian diamonds

21/09/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 20 September, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo said that Russian diamonds “symbolise war” and that they should be banned in the G7 countries from 1 January 2024, according to Belgian media. “There is no doubt about it, Russian diamonds are blood diamonds. We are extremely pleased that the G7 has taken the initiative to introduce an embargo”, he declared during a speech in New York with businessmen. “As the main hub of the...
