EU General Court dismisses Venezuela’s appeal against European sanctions

The General Court of the European Union has dismissed in its entirety Venezuela’s appeal against the restrictive measures (Regulation 2017/2063, Decision 2018/1656 and Regulation 2018/1653) adopted against it by the European Union (see EUROPE B12231A33), which prohibit the sale and transfer to the Caribbean country of equipment that could be used for repressive purposes against the population as well as the export of military material, in a judgment handed down on Wednesday 13 September...
