European ministers adopt a revision of Directive on exchange of information

17/10/2023 (Agence Europe) – At the Ecofin Council in Luxembourg on Tuesday 17 October, the EU Finance Ministers adopted the eighth revision of the Directive on the exchange of tax information between Member States (DAC8). This revision was agreed upon at a previous Council meeting in May (see EUROPE B13183A1). It extends the scope of the Directive, which now includes crypto-assets and electronic transactions “in order to address the risks posed by the digitalisation of the economy”,...
