European Commission approves three new geographical indications for German and Portuguese wines

17/10/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 17 October, the European Commission approved three new additions to the Protected Geographical Indications register. The German Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) ‘Großräschener See’ is part of the ‘Brandenburger Landwein’ PGI. It includes the areas where vines can be planted in the Großräschen district, where the climate is influenced by Lake Großräschen, which has an area of around 775 ha.
