EPP Group in European Parliament is counting on support of farmers in European elections

On Tuesday 19 September, Manfred Weber (EPP, German), Chair of the EPP Group in the European Parliament, said that his group was “the party of farmers and rural areas. It’s in our DNA”. He recalled that the EPP had strong support in Europe from farmers.

Through the event organised at the European Parliament entitled ‘The EPP vision for agriculture in Europe’, “we want to show that we listen to, support and respect farmers”, Mr Weber explained to the press. This event is also...
